Physical
Relating to things perceived through the senses as opposed to the mind. (Oxford dictionary)
To regain connection to our physical aspect we need to get out of our head, start to recognise our senses, to feel what is happening in the skin covered tissue we call our body. As be-ings we are not the condition label that an expert or ourselves has tagged us with. With the building blocks of strength, mobility, stability and aerobic fitness the emotional, mental and spiritual bodies can be supported.
“If you want to CLEAN your house, first you have to SEE the dirt.” Louise Hay
Emotional
Relating to a person’s instinctive or intuitive feeling as distinguished from reasoning or knowledge.
Feelings are the vocabulary of the body. Using the emotional body, we are able to experience intense emotions including both lower and higher emotions ranging from anger, fear, stress, irritation to love, joy, compassion and happiness. Our emotions are a great barometer for change in our life. With change come the opportunity for growth and releasing the ‘things’ that no longer serve.
We move to release the built up energy of emotions.
Mental
Done by or occurring in the mind from reasoning or knowledge.
It is how we reason our leant or acquired knowledge of a life situation that impacts on our body in the positive or negative ability change and grow.
A healthy mental body will have clarity and a clear thought process. If it is unhealthy it could be squashing the emotional level. We become thinkers and not used to feeling.
Thoughts are the vocabulary of the brain, It is when we quiet our mind that our physical, emotional and spirit bodies can be activated.
The negative impacts could have manifest in:
- reduction of self-confidence due to past abuse or trauma;
- triggering emotional eating – caused by your past experiences;
- limiting your movement because of pain;
- trouble sleeping thinking about what might be;
- or many other reasons for stress and anxiety.
Spiritual
A relationship based on a profound level of mental, emotional and physical communion into the being of one with all.
The relationship is with ourself. My belief is; when we connect back to ourself we can know ourself, create the ‘things’ we want in our life and release what no longer serves.
Connection to yourself is connection to others and connection to others is a connection to yourself. The spiritual aspect of you is within you, it is the essence of your being. I.e. the ‘Holy Trinity’ the Father, Son and Holy Spirit can be describes as the Adult, the Child and the Devine Love.
